Volunteering is an altruistic activity where we provide services for no financial gain "to benefit another person, group or organization". Volunteering is also renowned for skill development and intended to promote goodness or to improve human quality of life. Volunteering has positive benefits for the volunteer as well as for the person or community served. It also intended to make contacts for possible employment.

Study Halls

Every Other Wednesday

Study hall is where students are assigned to study (individually or in groups) at a time when they are not scheduled for an academic class.

National Convention - March 21-25

The Annual Convention showcases students and professionals who have a passion for STEM, who are high achievers in these fields and who are channeling their dedication to advance their communities and society at large. #NSBE44 will attract more than 10,000 aspiring and practicing engineers, educators, representatives of more than 200 academic institutions, government agencies, corporations and nonprofit organizations.

The convention will feature high-profile speakers, panel discussions, dynamic workshops, networking sessions, community engagement events, technical and scientific competitions, hands-on engineering and science activities and the premier career fair geared toward African Americans in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)..
